What Is an Event QR Code?

An event QR code encodes calendar event details - title, start/end time, location, and description - in the iCalendar (ICS) format. When scanned, the phone offers to add the event directly to the user's calendar app. No copy-pasting dates, no typos, no missed events.

How the iCalendar Format Works

This tool generates a standard VCALENDAR payload with a single VEVENT:

Timezone note: This tool generates timestamps without a timezone suffix, which means the event imports in the scanner's local timezone. This works correctly when the scanner is in the same timezone as the event. For events with attendees across multiple timezones, consider using a calendar invite link instead.
