What Is a Payment QR Code?

A payment QR code links directly to your payment page on PayPal, Venmo, or Cash App. When scanned, the payer's app opens to your profile - ready to send money. It eliminates the need to share usernames verbally or type them in manually.

Supported Payment Platforms

This tool generates links for three major platforms:

• PayPal.me: paypal.me/username - opens in the PayPal app or browser. Works internationally.
• Venmo: venmo://paycharge?txn=pay&recipients=username - deep-links into the Venmo app. US-only.
• Cash App: Uses the Cash App $cashtag format. US, UK, and some international markets.

Important: Venmo uses a deep link (venmo://) that only works when the Venmo app is installed on the scanner's phone. PayPal.me works in both the app and browser, making it the most reliable option for mixed audiences.

Best Practices

• Test the QR: Scan the code yourself before distributing. Verify it opens the correct profile in the correct app.
